ScoreQuest
Study for the TOEIC score you need. ScoreQuest builds each day's work from your own test results — and holds your distracting apps while you do it.
Coming to the App Store.
What it does
Tell ScoreQuest three things: the score you need, the date you sit, and the minutes you can give each day. Every day it fills those minutes with what actually moves your score — the vocabulary that is due for review and a drill on the skill your own practice-test results show is weakest. Nothing generic; the plan is built from what you got wrong.
The second half is the part other study apps don't have. ScoreQuest can block the apps that eat your evenings, on a schedule you set, using Apple's Screen Time framework. Studying earns minutes; spending earned minutes is the only way through a scheduled block. No passcode, no "just this once".
Twenty full practice tests
Twenty complete TOEIC-style tests — 200 questions each, all seven parts, with the listening sections spoken aloud on your iPhone. Sit a full timed test, or practice one part at a time. Every question you miss becomes material: the review queue, skill drills and part practice all draw on questions you answered in a real sitting. One full test is free.
Grammar coach
Sixty grammar topics and 660 questions, from articles and tenses to inversion and reported speech. The coach finds the rules you miss, explains them, and brings them back until they stick.
Vocabulary that comes back
Six curated decks, including a 500-word TOEIC core deck that is free. ScoreQuest teaches a word first and quizzes you on it later, on a Leitner spaced-repetition schedule: words you miss return sooner, words you know climb a five-box ladder to mastered.
AI tutor, dictionary and answer explainer
Ask why an answer is wrong, talk through a grammar point, or turn any word into a full dictionary entry with usage notes and practice passages.
On iPhone 15 Pro and newer this runs entirely on your device with Apple Intelligence — nothing is sent anywhere. On other iPhones the same features can be served by our cloud AI instead: only after you accept a consent screen that states exactly what is sent, and metered by monthly AI Credits. The privacy policy spells out both paths.
The focus layer
Pick apps or whole categories to block, then set a schedule — social media off from 21:00 to 07:00, your study hours, whatever you need — or start a focus session right now. While a block is running, opening one of those apps shows a block screen instead.
Four things earn minutes: a vocabulary quiz round, time spent in study apps you nominate, your daily steps (Pro), and a completed focus session. Every earned minute lands in one wallet, and spending opens a fixed window with nothing blocked; when it closes, blocking resumes on its own. Daily earning and the balance are both capped, so screen time cannot be stockpiled.
Two strictness levels control how much say you get over the rules — not how a running block ends. Normal lets you edit your schedules freely. Strict delays any weakening edit until the current window has closed; tightening is always instant. Neither level has a "stop the block" button: the way through is minutes you have already earned. Nothing runs forever either — every session carries a 24-hour hard cap.
Progress you can trust
A score trend across your sittings, listening and reading split apart, accuracy by part and by skill, and a weekly report. If a test result is partial, it is labelled as partial — never quietly blended in.
Free, Pro, and AI plans
Free, forever: one full practice test, the 500-word TOEIC deck, the grammar coach, one blocked app, the standard 25-minute focus session, and on-device AI where the hardware supports it. No trial clock, no card.
ScoreQuest Pro is a one-time purchase: all twenty tests, all six decks, unlimited blocked apps and categories, the steps source, custom focus lengths, adjustable earning rates, and a monthly cloud AI Credit allowance.
AI plans are optional monthly subscriptions (Starter, Plus, Pro, Max) for people who want more cloud AI: they include the same premium features plus a larger monthly AI Credit allowance. On-device AI never uses credits. Subscriptions renew until cancelled in your App Store settings, and the app is fully usable without one.
Why ScoreQuest needs Screen Time permission
Blocking an app on iOS is only possible through Apple's Screen Time frameworks — FamilyControls, ManagedSettings and DeviceActivity. ScoreQuest asks for that permission on a screen that explains why, never silently, and nothing is restricted until you have separately chosen apps and set a schedule.
Those frameworks are deliberately built so that ScoreQuest learns nothing about you. When you pick apps to block, iOS hands over anonymous tokens, not names. ScoreQuest never knows which apps you chose or what is installed on your iPhone. You can switch the permission off in Settings at any time, which lifts every restriction immediately.
What we don't do
No account. No sign-in. No analytics. No ads. Your study history, your blocklist and your wallet all live on your iPhone. The one thing that can ever leave the device is the text you type into the optional cloud AI — after you consent, and never tied to your name, because we never asked for it. The full detail is in the privacy policy.
Honest limits
iOS does not let any app make itself un-removable. You can always open Settings and switch off ScoreQuest's Screen Time permission, and no app can prevent that, ours included. Websites in Safari are not blocked. Study-app and step credit depend on what iOS reports, which can lag. Every blocking session ends within 24 hours no matter what. And a practice-test estimate is an estimate — the only score that counts is the one on your official report.
