Solo play keeps your progress and settings on your device. Tanktellect Arena shows optional rewarded video ads (served by Google AdMob), can post your scores and achievements to Game Center or Google Play Games, offers a one-time Pro purchase through the App Store or Google Play, and has an optional online mode. This page explains what each of these involves.
Progress, settings, replays, your daily battle allowance and a copy of your Pro purchase status are stored on your device only. When a battle ends with a kill cam, the game also keeps a short animated clip of it on your device; it leaves the device only if you press Share and pick an app in your system's share sheet. We never collect your email, phone number, contacts or precise location.
The only ads are rewarded videos you choose to watch, for example to get extra battles for the day. An ad never starts unless you press the button that offers it, and declining always leaves a free way to keep playing. Before any ad is requested, the game asks for your consent through Google's consent tool where required, and on iPhone and iPad it asks whether apps may track you (App Tracking Transparency). If you decline tracking, ads are still available but are not personalised.
When an ad is requested, Google receives information such as your device's advertising identifier (only if you allow it), IP address, device type and operating system, and how you interact with the ad. Google uses this as described in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services. Where the law gives you that right (for example in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom), you can change your consent choice at any time under Settings → Account → Ad privacy choices. Players who own Pro never see ads, and the ad service is not started on their device.
If you are signed in to Game Center (Apple) or Google Play Games (Google), the game posts four scores to their leaderboards (your total campaign stars, your battle wins, your best battle score and your best score in this week's Weekly challenge) and reports the achievements you earn and your progress towards them. Your profile on those boards is managed by Apple or Google under their own privacy policies. We do not receive or store your Game Center or Play Games account identifier. If you are not signed in, nothing is posted.
Pro is a one-time purchase processed by the App Store or Google Play. We never see your payment details. The store tells the game that you own Pro, and the game keeps that status on your device so it works offline. Restoring a purchase asks the store again.
Only when you open Online, the game creates a pseudonymous online account and stores on our servers (Google Firebase, Singapore region): a random account ID, the display name you choose, a coarse region label (Asia, Europe or Americas, from your time zone), a connection-quality label, your platform and build, a generic device label (for example "iPhone"), your ratings and match records, reports you make or receive, the players you block, and, only if you turn it on, a backup copy of your solo save. Match records are kept for 180 days; ratings and season results while your account exists.
Online matches are decided and verified by our servers. During a match your device may connect directly to your opponent's device; a direct connection lets the other device see your public network address. You can turn direct connections off in Online account settings, and the match then runs through our servers. There is no text or voice chat between players; online matches offer six preset emotes.
When the Casual queue finds no player within about a minute, the game may offer a computer-controlled sparring opponent instead. A sparring match is played entirely on your device and is never rated. With Opponent chat on, the opponent's lines are written on your device (by Apple Intelligence on devices that have it, otherwise from stock lines), and anything you type to it stays on your device: it is not sent to other players, to us or to any other company. You can turn sparring opponents and their chat off in Settings > Gameplay.
If you create a recovery code to move your online account to another device, we store only a keyed fingerprint of the code, never the code itself. To slow down attempts to guess codes, our servers count failed attempts per network address using a keyed fingerprint of the address; the address itself is not stored. Our servers keep technical logs (Google Cloud) that include your random account ID when something goes wrong; they are deleted after 30 days.
You can delete your online account at any time from Online account settings. Deletion removes your profile, ratings, leaderboard entries, rewards and cloud backup within 30 days; past matches keep only an anonymous placeholder. Your solo progress on the device is not affected.
The game does not use third-party analytics or social media integrations.
Tanktellect Arena is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided information through the online mode, contact us and we will delete it.
Any changes to this policy will be posted on this page with a new date.
