If you need a block lifted right now

You are never stuck waiting on us. Two ways out, both under your control and neither needing our help:

• Turn off ScoreQuest's Screen Time permission in the iOS Settings app. Every restriction ScoreQuest applied is lifted immediately — this always works, no matter which strictness level a block was set to.
• Delete ScoreQuest. Restrictions are cleared, and nothing of yours remains on the device. One catch: at the Strict level, iOS itself blocks deleting any app while a block is active, ScoreQuest included — turn off the permission above first, and deleting the app works too.

Any single block also expires on its own even if something goes wrong: every blocking session carries a 24-hour hard safety cap.

Common questions

The block screen won't let me stop the session.

That is by design, and it depends on what kind of block it is. A scheduled block never has a "stop early" button inside the app, at either strictness level — the way through is spending minutes you have already earned to open an unlock window. A focus session is different: at Normal you can cancel it by pressing and holding, though you will not be paid for it; at Strict it cannot be stopped early at all. In every case the Settings route above still works.

I don't have enough minutes to unlock.

Earn more: finish a vocabulary quiz round on the Practice tab, spend time in the study apps you nominated, complete a focus session (Today › Focus guardrail), or walk — steps earn minutes too if you turned that on (Pro). Or wait for the block to end on its own, or use the Settings route above. Earning is never behind the paywall.

Where do I set my target score or exam date?

Settings › Goal. The Today plan rebuilds around the new target from the next day's plan onwards.

The AI tutor says it is unavailable on my iPhone.

On-device AI needs an iPhone 15 Pro or newer running iOS 26 with Apple Intelligence enabled. On other iPhones the same features can run through our cloud AI instead: you will be shown a consent screen first, and cloud requests use monthly AI Credits from an AI plan or the Pro allowance. Everything else in the app — tests, grammar coach, decks, focus — works without AI on every supported iPhone.

How do AI Credits work?

Cloud AI requests (tutor chat, answer explanations, dictionary generation on iPhones without Apple Intelligence) each use credits. Credits refresh monthly with your plan and unused monthly credits do not roll over. On-device AI never uses credits.

How do I cancel a subscription?

Subscriptions are handled entirely by Apple: iOS Settings › your name › Subscriptions, or the App Store app. Cancelling stops the next renewal; your credits keep working until the paid period ends. ScoreQuest Pro (the one-time purchase) is not a subscription and never renews.

I paid but the app doesn't show it.

Tap "Restore purchases" — it is on the paywall and in Settings. Make sure you are signed in to the same Apple Account that made the purchase.

Blocked websites still open in Safari.

Website blocking isn't supported yet. ScoreQuest blocks apps and app categories.

The number on the block screen looks wrong.

It lags, and that is an iOS limitation rather than a bug we can fix. iOS caches the block screen instead of asking the app to redraw it, so the count can be one or two behind.

Is my practice-test score the score I'll get?

It is an estimate on the official scale, built from your accuracy on a full 200-question paper. Real sittings vary. Treat the trend across several tests as the signal, not any single number — and if a result is marked partial, it means some questions could not be presented and were left out of the calculation, not counted against you.

Privacy questions

The short version: no account, no analytics, and nothing leaves your iPhone except the text you choose to send to the optional cloud AI. The privacy policy covers everything, including Screen Time tokens, Health steps, and exactly what a cloud AI request contains.
